Mosques serve as places of prayer for Muslims. The most significant weekly service is conducted on Friday at noon.

Muslims are required to face the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, whenever they pray. A taqiyah (small cap) is worn by many Muslim males during the recitation of the Koran.

Muslims often say ‘peace be upon him’ when referring to Muhammad because of how highly revered he is among them.

Muslims believe that Muhammad is God’s last messenger (Allah). In their view, God has sent prophets into the world to instruct humans on how to live in accordance with His laws.

Other revered prophets include Jesus (Isa), Moses (Musa), and Abraham (Ibrahim).
